Kodak DC120/DC290 BATTERY HINTS
I have noticed that the battery life on the DC120 is not particularly great. In this section I will be giving details on some methods to improve battery life by using different types of batteries and different connection methods.

First off, for those people who don't want to build a battery pack I can recommend that you use Eveready Lithium Energizer AA batteries. These should be available from most good camera and electronics shops. They are somewhat expensive but they will last a reasonable length of time. I would also suggest that you turn the camera off if you will not be using it for any length of time during the day. Remove the batteries when the shoot is finished as the DC120 draws a small amount of power even when switched off.
I will describe in the following paragraphs ways which you can add external battery packs to the DC120 to greatly extend the running time.
There are several ways to extend the usage time of your camera. These are as follows:-
Page 1: Use Nickel Cadmium or Nickel Metal Hydride Batteries. These will not last as long as lithium or alkaline batteries but can be recharged many times. They will also fit directly into the camera in place of the standard batteries.
Page2: Use an external battery pack (7.2V) made up from high capacity Nickel Cadmium/Nickel Metal Hydride cells. This is connected to the external power socket on the camera.
