Using rechargeable batteries is one of the simplest ways to avoid spending large amounts of money on disposable batteries for your DC120. However, you must take into account the initial cost of the two sets of batteries and the battery charger. The DC290 is supplied with a set of rechargeable NiMh batteries and charger, but you should purchase a second set so that you have some charged at all times. The rechargeable battery kit that Kodak sells for the DC200 series of cameras can also be used with the DC120, and again you should have a second set of batteries.

Note that it is advisable to download and install the latest firmware version from Kodak's website (www.kodak.com) into your camera. This is especially true for the DC120, as it's early firmware could be easily corrupted by the batteries going flat while the camera was in use. The DC290 did not have this problem, but later firmware updates address some various issues that have been discovered since the camera was released.
